This is a practice adapted from the work of John Makranski, whose work I highly recommend. Certain Tibetan meditation practices involve visualizing deities. In adapting these practices for a western audience, Lama Makranski substituted the visualization of a caring moment - a moment in which we felt cared for. This could be an interaction with a person, a place, a pet, a work of art or music. The choice of caring moment is so important. What matters is that we pay attention to the feelings that arise as we visualize our caring moment.
