In a loving-kindness practice, we explore what arises when we wish others well. We begin with ourselves, them move to someone we care for, then a neutral party, then a person with whom we have a difficult relationship, and, finally, to all beings.

We repeat a set of well-wishes in our minds. These can be uniquely personal, but a typical guided practice might go something like this:

May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you live with ease.
